Rod Brind'Amourbreaking down the effort...
"Not a whole lot of spark to our game. We didn't play the game we like to play. Not enough time in their end. It was weird because it wasn't like we were giving up a boatload of chances, but we weren't getting enough to get emotion in the building. We had a couple opportunities in the third there and it started looking right, but it just didn't bounce our way."
Jordan Staaldissecting the loss...
"We didn't have a whole lot of jump, all throughout our lineup. If we're just a little off, it looks like that. We weren't really winning a whole lot of puck battles, getting on the forecheck and doing our thing. [We weren't] holding onto pucks and wearing them down, we kind of did the opposite."
Jordan Martinookoffering his thoughts on the team wrapping up a tough five-game stretch against New York, Toronto, Boston and Tampa Bay, but also looking ahead at what's to come...
"We're gearing up for two, three weeks here where there's never going to be an easy night. It's been a tough stretch, but that's not to say that the next stretch isn't going to be tough. We're playing every other night and these teams that we're going to play are maybe out of it, but I've been on that side of it, where you're playing for jobs and kids coming up and playing hard. It's not like you're getting an easy game, ever. We have to figure out where our energy was, regroup, get some rest and come back."
