RALEIGH, NC- Hockey Canada announced today that Hurricanes prospects Seth Jarvis, Ryan Suzuki and Jamieson Rees have been invited to Canada's selection camp to help determine their roster ahead of the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship.

"This is a great opportunity for Ryan, Jamieson and Seth," said Hurricanes Director of Player Personnel Darren Yorke. "With the delayed start to the OHL and WHL seasons, this allows our top prospects an opportunity to compete against the best players in Canada."
Jarvis, selected 13th overall in the 2020 NHL Draft, registered 98 points (42g, 56a) in 58 games with the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 2019-20. The Winnipeg native was the recipient of the 2019-20 Brad Hornung Trophy, awarded annually to the WHL's most sportsmanlike player and helped Team Canada earn the silver medal at the 2019 Hilnka Gretzky Cup.
Suzuki, selected 28th overall in the 2019 NHL Draft, recorded 58 points (18g, 40a) in 44 OHL games with Barrie and Saginaw in 2019-20. The London, Ont., native previously represented Canada at the 2019 IIHF Under-18 World Championship.
Rees, drafted 44th overall in the 2019 NHL draft, posted 61 points (18g, 43a) in 39 games with the OHL's Sarnia Sting in 2019-20. The center recorded eight points (2g, 6a) in seven games for Team Canada at the 2019 IIHF Under-18 World Championship.
