The Hurricanes, who have averaged 15,587 in attendance (83.44 percent capacity) in the three home games since Dundon was introduced, are expected to come very close to, if not completely fill the 12,038 remaining seats with the upper level closed for Tuesday's game. Dundon said the Hurricanes might have to "get creative" with new seating arrangements, even if it means putting fans in the owner's suite.
"I can find a TV. I'm more than happy," he said. "The closer they are to the ice, the better."
Dundon said that while all upper-level tickets will be upgraded, he won't force fans downstairs if they prefer the upstairs seating option.
"If somebody chooses to do something, I'm not going to stop them. But I hope they'll get into this and realize why we're doing this," he explained. "One, we want to do something nice for them, and two, I want it to be really loud in there."
Fans with 300-level tickets for Tuesday's game are instructed to enter PNC Arena as they normally would. Tables where fans can swap out their tickets will be set up outside sections 108 and 115 on the main concourse as well as just off the escalators on the east and west sides of the 300 level.
