The final game of the Hurricanes Homegrown Series this season is Saturday, when the Carolina Hurricanes close out their 2016-17 home schedule against the St. Louis Blues.
New this season, the
Hurricanes Homegrown Series
features eight games that showcase some of the best that our local community has to offer in clothing, beer, food, art and music.
Do you have tickets to the Hurricanes' regular-season home finale? Here's an in-depth look at each Homegrown aspect.

Clothing

Oak City Collection designed and produced this t-shirt, which features hockey sticks forming the shape of North Carolina, with the Hurricanes' primary logo stamped over the Triangle. When doors open at 6 p.m., 144 of these shirts will be available at The Eye's main location (south end of PNC Arena adjacent to the box office) for $30. Each shirt is marked by a unique printed tag that denotes the game, the shirt series and the overall quantity printed, and there is a limit of two shirts per person per purchase.
Beer

Flights, featuring four six-ounce pours, of either Appalachian Mountain Brewery's beer or Bold Rock Cider's beverages will be available outside of section 101. You can select any combinations of the beverages they offer, and the flights are priced at $11.
Food

The featured in-house, signature food item: a pimento grilled cheese sandwich served with a side of fried pickle chips. This was another one of my favorites that we got to sample at the Homegrown media event earlier in the season. The house-made pimento cheese is excellent, and the fried pickle chips are a crisp, tasty delight. You can grab this for $13 at the section 109 concessions stand.
Art

This poster, designed by local artist George Hage, will be available free to the first 1,000 fans. Swing by section 108 to pick one up and chat with the artist, as well.
Music
The Pseudo Cowboys, a local rock-and-roll band, will perform live during the first and second intermissions.
