Hurricanes Announce Scouting Promotions

Ferguson now head North American scout; Kron head European scout

RALEIGH, NC - Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced a pair of promotions in the team's amateur scouting department. Sheldon Ferguson will now serve as the team's head North American scout. Robert Kron has been named head European scout.

Tony MacDonald remains the team's Director of Amateur Scouting. The 2017 NHL Draft will be held at the United Center in Chicago on June 23-24. The Hurricanes currently hold 10 picks in the draft, including six in the first three rounds.
