Canes to Host Benefit Game for Officer Ainsworth

Game to take place on March 20 at PNC Arena

RALEIGH, NC - The Carolina Hurricanes and PNC Arena will host a benefit game for wounded Raleigh Police Officer Charles Ainsworth and his family on Wednesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. at PNC Arena. The game will feature the RPD Blueliners, a team of Raleigh police officers coached by Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin, and the NC Leatherheads, a team of local firefighters coached by Hurricanes alumni Erik Cole.

This event is open to the public and no ticket is required, though voluntary cash donations will be accepted at the door. Mike Maniscalco will emcee the event and there will be several prizes raffled off during the game. Stormy and members of the Pepsi Storm Squad will be in attendance and concession stands will be open during the event. The Hurricanes are donating the use of the arena and support personnel, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting Officer Ainsworth and his family.
