RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled forward Drew Shore to the team's taxi squad from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Shore, 30, has skated in one NHL game this season, making his Hurricanes debut against the Dallas Stars on Jan. 31. He has tallied 26 points (9g, 17a) in 95 career NHL games with Carolina, Vancouver, Calgary and Florida. The 6'2", 209-pound forward has skated in seven AHL games with Chicago in 2020-21, posting one assist. Shore played 61 Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) games with Kunlun, Minsk and Nizhny Novgorod from 2018-20, recording 38 points (10g, 28a). He also earned 73 points (29g, 44a) in 90 games with Kloten HC and Zurich SC of Switzerland's National League from 2016-18. Drafted by Florida in the second round, 44th overall, of the 2009 NHL Draft, the Denver, Colo., native was signed by Carolina as a free agent on Oct. 21, 2020.
