RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has acquired a seventh-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for forward Gregory Hofmann.

Hofmann, 28, has posted 36 points (16g, 20a) in 32 games with EV Zug of the Swiss National League this season. The 6'0", 200-pound forward has played 481 career National League games, tallying 319 points (163g, 156a). The Tramelan, Switzerland, native was drafted by the Hurricanes in the fourth round, 103rd overall, in the 2011 NHL Draft.
