SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA -Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the Coyotes have acquired a 2023 sixth-round draft choice from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for goaltender Jon Gillies. The Coyotes also acquired the contract of forward Jakub Voracek in the deal.

Gillies has posted a 5-8-2 mark with a 3.70 goals against average (GAA) and an .878 save percentage (SV%) in 15 games with the Tucson Roadrunners (AHL) this season.
Voracek has registered 223-583-806 and 525 penalty minutes (PIM) in 1,058 career NHL games with the Philadelphia Flyers and Blue Jackets. The 33-year-old forward recorded 1-5-6 in 11 games this season before sustaining a concussion on November 4 that will sideline him indefinitely. Voracek's current contract runs through the 2023-24 season.
