6:45 into the scrimmage, Taylor Beck scored to put Team White in front 1-0.
Just under four minutes later, Team Blue tied it up. Tyler Pitlick took a feed from Kris Versteeg and fired it past Jonas Gustavsson to make it 1-1.
The two teams traded chances for the remainder of the 30-minute half but both Cam Talbot and Gustavsson stood tall in the crease.
To open the second half, Laurent Brossoit and Eetu Laurikainen took their places between the pipes for Team White and Blue, respectively.
6:15 into the second half, Milan Lucic did some great work keeping the puck inside the blueline. He then rifled the puck to Jordan Eberle in the slot, who made no mistake firing a shot glove side past Brossoit to put Team Blue up 2-1.
Anton Lander, Nail Yakupov and Pat Maroon created a nice three-way passing play that ended with Lander redirecting a feed from Yakupov on goal but Brossoit made a solid toe save to keep it a one-goal game.
On the next shift, Eberle made a nice stretch pass to Drake Caggiula who was denied by Brossoit on a partial breakaway.
Team Blue really started to take over the game's momentum at this point but White took advantage of a lucky bounce of the puck to Brandon Davidson in the slot. Davidson's wrist shot from the high slot beat Laurikainen five-hole to even things up at 2-2.
After two 30-minute halves, the two sides were tied 2-2 and that meant it was time for some three-on-three overtime.
33 seconds into the overtime, Caggiula wired a shot past Brossoit to seal the win for Team Blue.
