Murray, in his 11th season as general manager of the Ducks, replaced Randy Carlyle, who was fired Sunday. The Ducks have been outscored 37-8 during the losing streak (0-7-0) and haven't won at home since defeating the Dallas Stars 6-3 on Dec. 12. Goalie Kevin Boyle will make his first NHL start for Anaheim. He made his NHL debut in relief of Chad Johnson in a 6-2 loss at the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday. The Canucks are two points behind the Minnesota Wild for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference. Goalie Jacob Markstrom will start after missing a 7-2 loss to San Jose Sharks on Monday because of back spasms.
