Player to watch for point, assist and/or shots on goal: Miro Heiskanen, D, DAL (at MTL; 7:00 p.m. ET; RDS, TSN2, Victory+)

Heiskanen has 16 points (three goals, 13 assists) in 17 games this season, including 11 points (one goal, 10 assists) during a five-game point streak. Heiskanen has had at least two points in four straight games with at least one power-play point in each game over that span and has already tied his total in power play points from last season (seven in 50 games). The 26-year-old is currently skating on the first power play with Mikko Rantanen (23 points; tied for seventh in NHL), Wyatt Johnston (20 points), Jason Robertson (17 points) and Roope Hintz (12 points in 12 games) and the Stars rank first in the NHL in power play goals (20) and second in power play percentage (32.8). Per NHL EDGE stats, Heiskanen ranks highly at his position in midrange shots on goal (13; seventh), high-danger goals (one; tied for fifth), skating distance (60.69 mph; 97th percentile), 20-plus mph speed bursts (19; 90th percentile) and offensive zone time percentage (45.2; 88th percentile). Heiskanen, who is tied for seventh among defensemen in SOG (40), has had at least two SOG in 10 of his past 12 games. -- Chris Meaney

Player to watch for goal, assist and/or shots on goal: Cole Caufield, F, MTL (vs. DAL; 7:00 p.m. ET; RDS, TSN2, Victory+)

Caufield, who had NHL career highs in points (70), goals (37; tied for 13th in NHL), power-play goals (10) and game-winning goals (eight; tied for ninth) last season, is tied for second in the NHL in goals (12) this season and tied for third in game-winning goals (three). Caufield, who is tied for eighth in the NHL in goals since the 4 Nations Face-Off (23 in 42 games), ranks second on the Canadiens in points (18 in 16 games) behind his frequent center Nick Suzuki (20) and leads them in shots on goal (40). Per NHL EDGE stats, Caufield ranks among the leaders at forward in midrange goals (four; tied for ninth in NHL), high-danger goals (five; 93rd percentile), high-danger SOG (15; 84th percentile), midrange SOG (12; 80th percentile) and total miles skated (48.04; 83rd percentile). -- Meaney

Player to watch for point, shots on goal and/or blocked shots: Jacob Trouba, D, ANA (7 p.m. ET; FDSNDET, KTTV, Victory+)

The Anaheim Ducks defenseman has 11 points (four goals, seven assists) over his past 11 games playing on the second pair with Olen Zellweger and second power play with forwards Beckett Sennecke and Mason McTavish. Trouba, who leads Ducks defensemen in goals, assists and points this season, has had multiple shots on goal in seven straight games and 10 of his past 11 for the Ducks, who are averaging the second-most goals per game (3.94) and fourth-most shots on goal per game (30.5). It’s also worth noting Trouba ranks 17th in the NHL in blocked shots (37) and leads Anaheim in that category. Per NHL EDGE stats, Trouba ranks in the 90th percentile among defensemen in hardest shot (94.81 mph) and is tied for second at his position in high-danger goals (two) behind Jakob Chychrun of the Washington Capitals (three). -- Pete Jensen

Player to watch for goal, point and/or shots on goal: Adrian Kempe, F, LAK (at TOR; 7:00 p.m. ET; SNO, FDSNW)

The Los Angeles Kings forward leads them in points (18), assists (12), even-strength points (12), and game-winning goals (three; tied for third in NHL) through their first 17 games of the season. Kempe, who has at least one point in eight of his 10 road games this season, also has at least four shots on goal in six of those games. Kempe, a three-time 30-goal scorer and two-time 70-point producer in his NHL career, has four points (two goals, two assists) in his three games against Canada-based teams this season. Kempe is playing wing at his usual spot on the first line with Anze Kopitar, as well as the team's five-forward power-play unit with Kopitar, Corey Perry, Kevin Fiala and Andrei Kuzmenko. Per NHL EDGE stats, Kempe has the most long-range shots on goal (19) among forwards and ranks among the leaders at his position in average shot speed (65.06 mph; 96th percentile), midrange goals (four; 95th percentile) and 20-plus mph speed bursts (43; 93rd percentile). The Toronto Maple Leafs have lost three straight games, and allowed five goals in each over that span. -- Troy Perlowitz
