Murray, who backed up Casey DeSmith in a 5-3 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday that ended the Penguins' eight-game winning streak, is 7-0-0 with a 1.27 goals-against average, .962 save percentage and two shutouts since returning from a lower-body injury.
Murray can become the first Penguins goalie to win at least eight consecutive games since Marc-Andre Fleury won nine straight from Feb. 21-March 17, 2012.
The Panthers try to avoid their third straight loss after going 6-2-0 in their previous eight games.
