Matt Murray Bio

Murray enjoyed a magical ride under the brightest of spotlights at the beginning of his career.

Having played just 13 NHL regular-season games, the 6-foot-4, 178-pound goaltender stepped into the starter's role for the injured Marc-Andre Fleury and helped lead the Penguins to the Stanley Cup in 2016.
