RALEIGH, NC - The 20th Annual Skate with the Canes event will take place on Sunday, January 7 at PNC Arena from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. This event is one of the most interactive, all-access, behind-the-scenes, player-friendly events that the Carolina Hurricanes organization offers each year. It is a special Kids 'N Community Foundation fundraising event that allows fans and players to interact in an intimate environment by rotating through autographs, locker room photos and skating sessions in small groups of 200.

All proceeds from Skate with the Canes will benefit the Carolina Hurricanes Kids 'N Community Foundation, which provides much-needed funding to children's charities and education programs throughout North Carolina. During the 2016-17 season, the Kids 'N Community Foundation donated $560,000 to 29 different North Carolina children's non-profit organizations.

The $85 ticket includes all the activities below, a gift courtesy of the Carolina Hurricanes, poster and food and beverage. Tickets can be purchased at the PNC Arena box office, through Ticketmaster, or by calling (919) 861-5494. On-sale dates for STMs is Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. On-sale dates for the general public is Friday, Nov. 10 at 10 a.m.

Skate with the Canes allows fans and players to interact in an intimate environment by rotating through autographs, locker room photos and skating sessions in small groups of 200. The players will rotate stations opposite event attendees so that all fans get one station with each different player grouping. Stormy and the Pepsi Storm Squad will also be on hand throughout the event. Fans may bring their own skates for the ice session, or pick up a complimentary rental pair. Attendees should bring their own cameras for the photo session. Children 13 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket.
