FLAMES RECALL JON GILLIES FROM STOCKTON

Mike Smith is day-to-day

The Calgary Flames announced today that they have recalled goaltender Jon Gillies from the Stockton Heat as goaltender Mike Smith is out day-to-day. The Flames have also assigned forward Ryan Lomberg to Stockton.

Gillies, a native of Concord, New Hampshire has played in 18 games with the Stockton heat this season posting a 3.96 GAA and a .861 SV%. He played in 11 games last season for the Flames with a 2.88 GAA and a .896 SV%. The 2015 NCAA Champion was drafted by the Flames in the 3rd round (75th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

CALGARY - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have recalled winger Anthony Peluso from the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League. Ryan Lomberg has also been assigned to Stockton.

Peluso, a native of North York, Ontario has played in 16 games with the Heat this season scoring one goal and adding three assists for four points and 29 penalty minutes. The 29-year-old winger was drafted by the St.Louis Blues in the sixth round (160th overall) in the 2007 NHL Draft. Peluso has played 147 career NHL games netting four goals and 10 assists for 14 points and 213 penalty minutes.

The defenceman has played 12 games with the Stockton Heat this year

CALGARY - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have recalled defenceman Rinat Valiev from the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League.

Valiev, a native of Nizhnekamsk, Russia was traded to the Flames on October 1, 2018 from the Montreal Canadiens. The 23-year-old defenceman was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the third round (68th overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft. Valiev has played 12 NHL games in his career and has suited up in 20 games for the Stockton Heat this season notching three assists.

FLAMES RECALL ANDREW MANGIAPANE

The winger has 14 points in 13 games with the Heat this season

CALGARY - The Calgary Flames announce today they have recalled forward Andrew Mangiapane from the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League.

Mangiapane, currently in his third year with the Stockton Heat, is averaging more than a point-per-game this season with seven goals and seven assists for 14 points in 13 games played. Last season Mangiapane spent 10 games with the Calgary Flames in addition to leading the Stockton Heat in scoring with 21 goals and 25 assists for 46 points in 39 games. He was Calgary's sixth round pick (166th overall) in the 2015 NHL Draft. 

Tonight the Calgary Flames look to extend their four game point streak on home ice against the Los Angeles Kings before heading out on the road to Chicago and Columbus.

FLAMES ASSIGN DILLON DUBE TO STOCKTON

The 20-year-old has 5 points in 20 games this season

CALGARY - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have assigned forward Dillon Dube to the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League.

Dube notched his first NHL goal and added four assists for five points and four penalty minutes in 20 games with the Flames this season. He was Calgary's second round pick (56th overall) in the 2016 NHL Draft. 

Calgary finishes up a two0game home stand on Friday, November 30th when they host the Los Angeles Kings and look to extend their four-game point streak on home ice before heading out on the road to Chicago and Columbus.

FLAMES RECALL TWO FROM STOCKTON

Oliver Kylington and Ryan Lomberg will join the team on the road

The Calgary Flames announced today that they have recalled defenceman Oliver Kylington and forward Ryan Lomberg from the Stockton Heat.

Forward Michael Frolik (lower body) and defenceman Michael Stone (blood clot) have been placed on Injured Reserve.

Kylington, a 21-year-old defenceman, is in his fourth pro season with the Stockton Heat. He is currently tied for the team lead in points with seven goals and seven assists for 14 points in 18 games. He made his NHL debut during the 2015-16 season on April 9th in Minnesota becoming just the eight player in Flames history to debut at the age of 18.

Lomberg, a 23-year-old winger, is also in his fourth pro season with the Stockton Heat. He has a pair of goals along with four assists for six points and 12 penalty minutes in 18 games this season. Lomberg had a seven game stint with the Flames last season picking up his first NHL point with an assist along with 15 penalty minutes.

Calgary has a two gaMe road trip starting Friday, November 23rd in Vegas before concluding the trip in Arizona on Sunday, November 25th.
