FLAMES SIGN ALEXANDER YELESIN

The defenceman has inked a two-year entry-level deal

CALGARY - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed defenceman Alexander Yelesin to a two-year entry-level contract.

Yelesin, a native of Yaroslavl, Russia, completed his second season as a member of the Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the KHL in 2018-19. The 23-year-old scored four goals and added six assists for 10 points and 47 penalty minutes in 55 games this season. In Yelesin's KHL career he has totaled eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points in 109 games. The right-shot defenceman was chosen for the 2019 KHL All-Star Game this past January and represented the Tarosov Division.

The defenceman has been inked to an entry-level deal

CALGARY - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed defenceman Carl-Johan Lerby to a two-year entry-level contract.

Lerby, a native of Sweden, completed his fourth season as a member of the Malmo Redhawks. The 21-year-old scored five goals and added 16 assists for 21 points and 20 penalty minutes in 47 games this season and added three assists in five playoff games with the Malmo Redhawks of the Swedish Elite League. Lerby will stay with Malmo for the 2019-20 season before joining the Calgary Flames organization for the 2020-21 season.

FLAMES SIGN MARTIN POSPISIL

The forward was drafted in the fourth round in 2018

CALGARY - The Calgary Flames announce today that they have signed forward Martin Pospisil to a three-year entry-level contract.

Pospisil, a native of Zvolen, Slovakia, concluded his second season with the Sioux City Musketeers in the USHL, where he had his best statistical season in 2018-19. The 19-year-old scored 16 goals and added 47 assists for 63 points in 44 games played. Pospisil also suited up for Team Slovakia at the World Junior Championships this past January where he notched two assists and eight penalty minutes in five games. The assistant captain of the Musketeers was drafted by the Flames in the fourth round (105th overall) in the 2018 NHL Draft.

FLAMES RECALL DILLON DUBE FROM STOCKTON

The forward has been recalled on an emergency basis

CALGARY - The Calgary Flames announce today that they have recalled forward Dillon Dube from the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League on an emergency basis.

Dube, a native of Cochrane, Alberta, is over a point-per-game player for the Stockton Heat this season. The 20-year-old has 15 goals and 24 assists for 39 points in 37 games for the Heat in 2018-19. Dube has also played in 23 games for the Flames this season notching his first NHL goal and four assists for five points and 24 penalty minutes.

Dube was named AHL Player of the Week on March 10th. He scored four goals, two of them shorthanded, and added three assists for seven points in three games during that week.

CALGARY - The Calgary Flames announce today that they have reassigned forward Curtis Lazar to the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League.

Lazar, a native of Salmon Arm, BC, is currently in his fifth pro season. The 24-year-old has 17 goals and 20 assists for 37 points in 49 games with the Stockton Heat this season. Lazar skated in one game during the recall.
