Ryan Daniels hired as Texas Stars Goaltender Development Coach

Daniels spent the past three years as the goaltending coach for the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League

FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Stars Assistant General Manager and Texas Stars General Manager Scott White announced today that the club has named Ryan Daniels as goaltender development coach of the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). Daniels joins head coach Neil Graham's staff that includes assistant coaches Travis Morin and Max Fortunus, and video coach Patrick Dolan.

The players are older, so they have already been through a lot of development, and the Stars haven't had to pay for that time because the players weren't pushing through the minors. What's more, they are easier to assess in their talent level, because they are 21 or 22 and not 18.
