Hall has 38 points (18 goals, 20 assists) in his past 26 games played, dating back to Jan. 2; he missed three games from Jan. 22-25 with a thumb injury. The 26-year-old left wing has a point in a franchise-record 19 straight games (13 goals, 13 assists), the longest streak in the NHL this season, since returning from his injury.
The Devils hold the first wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Eastern Conference, three points ahead of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Jets center Mark Scheifele (upper body) will not play and is day to day. Winnipeg has won three straight games and is six points behind the Nashville Predators for first place in the Central Division.

Players to watch

Jets left wing Patrik Laine has three straight multigoal games and has 19 points (13 goals, six assists) in a nine-game point streak.
Devils defenseman Sami Vatanen has 11 points (one goal, 10 assists) in his past 10 games.

They said it

"[Scheifele] is one of our best players, so it's going to be hard without our first-line center. He's also a big part of our power play but now everybody just has to play better and fill his spot. We'll need to defend better." -- Jets left wing Patrik Laine
"I think it's inspirational when you have a guy (Hall) who plays that hard every night. He's all in, whether it's practice, games, or meetings. You need some of your marquee players to be culture drivers in how they play, how they work and the messages they promote. He's done that."-- Devils coach John Hynes
