STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS FANTASY POOL MOCK DRAFT

The below mock draft is based on the following scoring system: goals and assists count for skaters (+1 point each) with an additional bonus for a hat trick (+2), and wins count for team goalies (+2) with a potential bonus for a shutout (+1). Team goalies, similar to team defenses in fantasy football, combine the statistics of multiple players at the position from one roster.

Value has been quantified based on factors including but not limited to past production in the regular season and playoffs, line combinations, defense pairs, power-play usage, goalie start volume and timeshare situations, injury history, contract status, age, matchups and likelihood of a deep postseason run.

Participants in this office pools mock draft include NHL Fantasy on Ice hosts Pete Jensen and Rob Reese and other NHL.com staffers and frequent guests of the show. The entire draft was 10 rounds with the following roster size: seven forwards, two defensemen, one team goalie. Some picks were autodrafted based on NHL.com's fantasy pool rankings.
