Schenn, a center who was eligible to become a restricted free agent after the 2015-16 season, went on a scoring binge, finishing with 44 points (19 goals, 25 assists) in the final 46 games for the Philadelphia Flyers. The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native earned a four-year contract with Philadelphia on July 25, 2016.

The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native earned a four-year contract with Philadelphia on July 25, 2016.
But after leading the NHL with 17 power-play goals in 2016-17, the Flyers traded Schenn to the St. Louis Blues for forward Jori Lehtera and two first-round draft picks on June 23, 2017. Schenn was an instant success in St. Louis, hitting NHL career highs in goals (28), assists (42) and points (70). His offensive numbers dropped to 54 points (17 goals, 37 assists) in 2018-19, but he had 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in 26 playoff games and scored a goal in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final to help the Blues win their first championship since entering the NHL in 1967.
Schenn, a fluid skater who can play wing or center, is the younger brother of NHL defenseman Luke Schenn; the two played together for three-plus seasons with the Flyers before Luke was traded to the Los Angeles Kings on Jan. 6. 2016.
Brayden Schenn made his NHL debut Nov. 26, 2009, with the Kings, who selected him with the No. 5 pick in the 2009 NHL Draft. The selection came he played his second full season with Brandon of the Western Hockey League, finishing with 88 points (32 goals, 56 assists) in 70 games. But he played just nine games for the Kings; on June 23, 2011, the Flyers acquired Schenn, forward Wayne Simmonds and the Kings' second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Draft for forwards Mike Richards and Rob Bordson.
The 2009 recipient of the H.L. "Krug" Crawford Memorial Medal for athletic achievement in western Manitoba, Schenn helped Canada win gold medals at the 2008 Under-18 World Championship and the 2008 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup.
He has also represented Canada multiple times at the IIHF World Junior Championship and IIHF World Championship, where he was named tournament MVP in 2011 after scoring 18 points, tying the tournament record.
