Sillinger, the No. 12 pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, will become the fourth-youngest Blue Jackets player to debut (18 years, 151 days) behind Rostislav Klesla (18 years, 88 days in 2000), Rick Nash (18 years, 116 days in 2002) and Nikita Filatov (18 years, 145 days in 2008). Hofmann, 28, has played in Switzerland the past 12 seasons.
