Maple Leafs Announce Additions to Player Development Department

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has named Stéphane Robidas the club's Assistant Director of Player Development and Jack Han the club's Player Development Analyst.

Robidas, a veteran of 937 NHL games, made his NHL debut as a member of the Montreal Canadiens during the 1999-00 season and went on to play 15 seasons in the League, suiting up for the Canadiens, Dallas Stars, Chicago Blackhawks, Anaheim Ducks and Toronto Maple Leafs. He was named an NHL All-Star in 2009 as a member of the Stars. In 2015, Robidas was nominated by the Toronto chapter of the PHWA as the Maple Leafs' nominee for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy as the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey.

Maple Leafs to Host Fan Events During Training Camp in Niagara Falls

Toronto wraps up their 2017-18 campaign on home ice on April 7, 2018 against the Montreal Canadiens.

The Maple Leafs will host the Carolina Hurricanes at 2 p.m. on December 19, 2017, commemorating exactly 100 years since the Toronto Arenas played the first game in franchise history on December 19, 1917, as part of the first game day in NHL history. Additional details on the club's plans to commemorate this historic occasion will be made available at a future date.

NEW YORK (May 29, 2017) -The National Hockey League announced today that The Washington Capitals will play host to the Toronto Maple Leafs outdoors at the 2018 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md. on March 3, 2018. Over the next several years, the League plans to stage a series of outdoor games at the venues of the other respective U.S. Service Academies.

The Washington Capitals and the Toronto Maple Leafs have faced each other in 141 regular-season games since 1974-75, with Capitals holding a 24-point edge (WSH 71-54-16-158; TOR 60-67-14-134). The Capitals and Maple Leafs lone post-season matchup took place during the First Round of the 2017 Stanley Cup® Playoffs, won by Washington in six games. All six games were decided by one goal, with five contests going to overtime.
