The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has signed goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky to a three-year contract.

Bobrovsky, 37, skated in 52 games with the Florida Panthers last season, posting a 27-23-1 record and a .877 save percentage. In 806 NHL regular season games, split between Philadelphia, Columbus, and Florida, the Novokuznetsk, Russia native has a combined record of 456-266-58 and a .912 save percentage. His 456 career regular season wins rank seventh all-time among goaltenders, while his 61 career postseason victories are tied for the 15th-most in Stanley Cup playoff history.

Bobrovsky captured back-to-back Stanley Cups as a member of the Panthers in 2024 and 2025. He has won the Vezina Trophy and earned NHL First Team All Star recognition on two occasions (2013, 2017) as a member of the Blue Jackets. He also represented Columbus at the 2017 NHL All Star Game before taking part in the 2024 NHL All Star Game on behalf of the Panthers.

Internationally, Bobrovsky has represented Russia on multiple occasions, capturing gold (2014), silver (2015) and bronze (2016) at the IIHF World Championships, and earning Top 3 Player on Team recognition at each tournament, and earning Best Goaltender honours in 2014. He also competed at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, as well as the 2016 World Cup of Hockey in Toronto. At the amateur level, he won bronze at the 2008 IIHF World Junior Championships held in Pardubice and Liberec, Czech Republic. 

Bobrovsky was originally signed to an entry-level contract by Philadelphia on May 6, 2010.
