DENVER, CO. -Forward Stefan Noesen is likely to have an elevated opportunity for the Carolina Hurricanes Saturday, jumping up to play alongside Andrei Svechnikov and Sebastian Aho for the team's meeting against the Colorado Avalanche.

The opening came about after Teuvo Teravainen left Thursday night's win over Edmonton during the second period with an upper-body injury. Teravainen did not travel with the team to Colorado.
Teravainen's injury also allows forward Derek Stepan to get back into the lineup after being held out of the team's most recent contest.
Carolina's last line of defense is expected to be Antti Raanta after Pyotr Kochetkov started the two nights ago against the Oilers.
The 33-year-old Raanta is 3-1-1 this season with a .915 save percentage. His first regulation loss came earlier this week against the Florida Panthers after the team in crew in front of him was shutout. Raanta stopped all 36 shots he faced last time he went head-to-head against the Avalanche in March.
The Canes projected lineup for tonight's 9 p.m. EST puck drop is:
Forwards:
