GLENDALE, AZ. -The Carolina Hurricanes are likely to be without Jordan Staal, Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Frederik Andersen as they take on the Arizona Coyotes Monday night.

On the Staal front, the captain did participate at the team's morning skate, but was only intermittently rotating in during line rushes. Him being on the ice alone was a great sign, after he had left during Saturday's third period and did not return after being hit by Cale Makar. After the team was off the ice Rod Brind'Amour said that the Captain is considered day-to-day.
Kotkaniemi, on the other hand, was not on the ice this morning. Brind'Amour said that he was "nicked up" and not 100%, also day-to-day.
Lastly, Andersen, who also left during Saturday's third period, will be out for at least seven days. The head coach said that his situation will be reevaluated next week. Pyotr Kochetkov, who was emergency recalled from Chicago (AHL) on Sunday, will back up Antti Raanta tonight.
The projected lineup for tonight's 10 p.m. EST puck drop is:
Forwards:
Teravainen - Aho - Jarvis
Svechnikov - Trocheck - Necas
Niederreiter - Domi - Fast
Martinook - Stepan - Lorentz
Defensemen:

Skjei - Pesce
Smith - Bear
Starting Goalie:
Raanta
Injuries:
