RALEIGH, NC - The Carolina Hurricanes will deliver 650 turkeys to area families on Tuesday ahead of the coming Thanksgiving holiday. Hurricanes forward Bryan Bickell and his wife Amanda will be on hand at Helping Hand Mission in Raleigh at 10 a.m. to join team staff members in distributing the turkeys. On Tuesday afternoon, Hurricanes staff also will distribute turkeys to families affected by Hurricane Matthew in Lumberton, NC, at Robeson Church and Community Center, as well as other set locations.

Media are invited to cover the turkey distribution at Helping Hand Mission, located at 623 Rock Quarry Rd. in Raleigh. For more information on Tuesday's event, please contact Jon Chase at (919) 861-6209.
This marks the sixth year of the Hurricanes' Thanksgiving partnership with Helping Hand Mission. Contributions for the turkeys came from the Hurricanes' Tickets for Turkeys campaign, through which a portion of every ticket sold went toward the purchase of turkeys.
