Bryan Bickell is not a big fan of Canadian singer Bryan Adams. His mother, however, likes Adams so much she named her son after him.
Not that Bickell minds; he likes his name. Besides, he's done something Adams could only dream of doing: He's won the Stanley Cup more than once.

A massive presence on the ice, the 6-foot-4, 223-pound forward plays a physical game, digging in the corners, going to the net and creating space for his linemates. He can score a bit, too; he had nine goals in 23 playoff games during the Blackhawks' 2013 run to the Stanley Cup.
Bickell's solid two-way play for that 2013 championship team (he also had a plus-11 rating that year) earned him a four-year contract. Bickell had 43 points (25 goals) over the next two seasons, helping Chicago win the Cup again in 2015, but he was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes with Teuvo Teravainen prior to the 2016 NHL Draft.
A native of Bowmanville, Ontario, Bickell played junior hockey for Ottawa of the Ontario Hockey League, was drafted in the second round (No. 41) by Chicago in the 2004 NHL Draft and made his pro debut with Norfolk of the American Hockey League in 2006.
On April 5, 2007, Bickell made his NHL debut a memorable one when he scored in a 3-2 Blackhawks victory against the Detroit Red Wings. He would play 16 games for Chicago's 2010 championship team.
