Red Wings send three to Juniors

Detroit's roster currently stands at 51 with three preseason games remaining

DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings today assigned defenseman Alex Cotton to the Western Hockey League's Lethbridge Hurricanes and released right wing Davis "T-Bone" Codd and defenseman Mason Ward from their amateur tryouts.

The Red Wings currently have 51 players on their training camp roster: 29 forwards, 17 defensemen and five goaltenders. Currently 3-2-0 in the exhibition season, the Red Wings will travel to play the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight at 7:00 p.m. before hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. and wrapping up preseason play with a road game against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
