Detroit assigns Wade Megan to Grand Rapids

Preseason roster reduced to 40

DETROIT -The Detroit Red Wings today assigned center Wade Megan to the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins. The team's preseason roster now stands at 40 players: 22 forwards, 14 defensemen and four goaltenders.

Currently undefeated in preseason play (6-0-0), the Red Wings will visit the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight at 7:30 p.m. (NHL Network) before hosting the Maple Leafs at Little Caesars Arena tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. (FOX Sports Detroit).
