The Nashville Predators wrap up a stretch of three straight against Eastern Conference opponents with a home game against the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight (at 7 p.m. CT).
The Preds (39-26-11) saw their four-game winning streak come to an end at the hands of the Boston Bruins on Tuesday. Nashville's magic number for clinching a playoff spot remains at three, with the Preds having an opportunity to punch their ticket to the postseason as soon as Friday. The Predators can reclaim third in the Central Division with a victory on Thursday night.
Tonight's opponent for Nashville, the Maple Leafs (36-24-15), have also won four out of five, like the Preds. Toronto won an early season meeting between the pair, 6-2, on Nov. 15.
Nashville held a full morning skate on Thursday, with Mike Fisher (day-to-day; lower-body injury) joining the team. Yannick Weber (day-to-day; upper-body) did not skate.
