Are we getting a Stanley Cup Final preview tonight? The Nashville Predators and Tampa Bay Lightning would like to think so.
The Preds (9-3-0) answered a loss with a victory for the third time this season, when they knocked off the Vegas Golden Knights, 4-1, on Tuesday. Nashville did not practice on Wednesday, but did make a roster move, sending goaltender Troy Grosenick to Milwaukee (AHL) and activating Pekka Rinne from Injured Reserve.
The Lightning (8-2-1) - like the Predators - sit first in their conference. Tampa Bay won their last game, 8-3, over the New Jersey Devils.
The Predators held a full morning skate on Thursday at Amalie Arena. Winger Zac Rinaldo (lower-body injury) was not present. Below is a Preds projected lineup based on the session:
