Rinaldo's willingness to stand up for his teammates has helped him carve out an NHL career despite the fact that he's never reached double figures in points with one team in any season since turning pro in 2010-11.
The Philadelphia Flyers selected Rinaldo in the sixth round of the 2008 NHL Draft after he had 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) and 191 penalty minutes with Mississauga St. Michael's of the Ontario Hockey League. He spent the 2010-11 regular season with Adirondack, the Flyers' affiliate in the American Hockey League, but made his NHL debut in Game 5 of the Flyers' first-round series against the Buffalo Sabres during the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He also played in Game 1 of the second round against the Boston Bruins.
