The Predators and the Blackhawks will face off four times in the month of April. The first act in the quartet comes this afternoon (at 2 p.m. CT) in Nashville.
The Preds (19-18-1) are 8-2-0 in their last 10 games, but saw their season-long, six-game winning streak come to an end at the hands of the Stars on Thursday. Goaltender Juuse Saros's personal four-game winning streak and stretch of allowing two or fewer goals also concluded. Nashville and Chicago are tied for fourth place and the Central Division's final playoff spot. They'll also meet on April 19, 21 and 23.
The Blackhawks (17-16-5) fell in their last game, 4-3, to the Hurricanes after surrendering a goal in the final minute of regulation.
Nashville did not practice on Friday and did not hold a morning skate on Saturday. Below is a projected lineup based on Thursday's game and today's news:
Noon CT Update: The Preds have recalled forwards Michael McCarron and Mathieu Olivier, as well as defenseman Jeremy Davies, from the taxi squad. Forward Tommy Novak has been recalled to the taxi squad from Chicago (AHL). Defenseman Alexandre Carrier is out 3-5 weeks with a lower-body injury.
