Nashville, Tenn. (February 28, 2023) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the team has acquired forward Austin Rueschhoff from the New York Rangers in exchange for future considerations.
Rueschhoff, 25 (9/7/97), has recorded 11 points (2g-9a) in 31 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack, the Rangers' AHL affiliate. Last season, Rueschhoff established career highs in several categories, including games played (59), goals (14), assists (10) and points (24).

Undrafted, Rueschhoff signed with the Rangers following a three-year career at Western Michigan University, where he posted 35 goals and 70 points in 105 games. He helped the Broncos finish above .500 in his final two seasons, setting career highs in goals (13) and points (27) as a sophomore and matching his personal best in assists (14) as a junior. Prior to enrolling at Western Michigan, the Wentzville, Mo., native spent parts of three seasons in both the USHL (Omaha and Dubuque) and NAHL (Minnesota, Janesville and Austin) from 2014-17.
