Here is what the Pens had to say heading into their contest against the Calgary Flames.

ON CULLEN
Sullivan: "We'll see how he responds to the practice today. He's feeling better to the point where he joined us for practice. He'll be a game-time decision."
ON THE FLAMES' 9-GAME WINNING STREAK
Sullivan: "They're a very good team. I know they're well coached. They went through some challenging times earlier in the season. Regardless of what team you are, you're going to go through some challenges. Calgary went through their fair share early on. They've found a way to have success as of late. They're playing extremely well right now. This is a big challenge for our team tonight."
Crosby: "They're a confident group. They believe in their game and the way they play … We're prepared for a challenge tonight. A fast-paced game from the way the 2 teams want to play. Whoever can get out of their end the quickest and control puck possession in the offensive zone give ourselves a better chance to win."
Cole: "If we can play the way we know we can play, we can beat any team in this league. It's less about what they're doing and more about what we do. They're going to be a huge challenge tonight. They've played great. (Elliott) has played great for them. He'll be a challenge to solve. We're up for the challenge."
ON GETTING UP FOR TONIGHT'S GAME
Crosby: "It's always a great environment here. With their team playing well I'm sure they'll be pumped up. We all feel like this is an exciting night to be playing."
Cole: "For us as a team, our mentality is that we want to win every single game and build as a hockey team going forward. If that means beating the Calgary Flames tonight, that's what we want to do."
ON THE INJURIES
Sullivan: "When you go through the injuries that we've gone through, and as many of them, it tests the depth of your organization. We have quality guys that come up. The young guys bring a certain level of energy and enthusiasm to the rink everyday. That's contagious. When you go through these bits of adversity it's an opportunity to galvanize our group. That's our hope."
Crosby: "The guys that have come in have done a really good job, both in Wilkes-Barre and the trades that we made. (Hainsey and Streit) have stepped right in and provided stability there, but the guys from Wilkes-Barre that are thrown into important games and important roles have really done a good job. Collectively we've rallied around that."
Cole: "It's like the New England Patriots. They get no-name guys that step up and play great. They can cycle guys in. It's a culture and understanding that we have really good hockey players. I don't think it's no name. We have really solid hockey players on this team that fit into their roles. They know their roles and do their job really well. That's the sign of a good team."
ODDS AND ENDS
Archibald on his callup: "It's definitely an exciting time. I'm happy to be here. I'm going to do everything I can to help the team. If I get in the lineup I'm looking to chip in offensively. That first game was something special, but I'll do anything I can to help the team win."
