Borgstrom Leads the Pioneers

A five-point weekend (2-3-5) for University of Denver freshman Henrik Borgstrom solidified him as the Bauer NCHC Rookie of the Week. On Nov. 25 at Air Force, the Florida Panthers 2016 first round pick recorded two assists, including the helper on Denver's overtime game-winner. The 19-year old followed the multi-point performance up the next night in Denver with a three-point game (2-1-3), scoring twice in the second period and earning an assist on the game-winning goal for the second straight game.

Borgstrom's three-point evening already matched his college career high set on Oct. 15 vs. Boston University. The Helsinki, Finland native has registered a team-leading 16 points (8-8-16) in 14 games for DU.

Springfield fell to Hershey 5-2 on Friday in their first game following the Thanksgiving holiday. Behind the Mascherin

Panthers prospect Adam Mascherin enters the week on a 10-game point streak, recording 16 points (8-8-16) in the 10-game span for the Kitchener Rangers.
