EDMONTON, AB - The Oilers have added forward Zach Hyman to the NHL's COVID protocol list, the hockey club announced Thursday.
Hyman has recorded 11 goals and 10 assists in 32 games this season, including five power-play points, two shorthanded points and one game-winning goal.
The 29-year-old will be eligible to return Tuesday, Jan. 25. The Oilers are scheduled to visit the Vancouver Canucks that night for their third meeting of this season.
Hyman joins Stuart Skinner on the COVID protocol non-roster list. The goaltender was added to COVID protocol on Monday and could return to action as early as Saturday.
Conversely, forward Kyle Turris has been removed from COVID protocol.
Edmonton also activated defenceman Kris Russell from injured reserve on Thursday. The 34-year-old last played Dec. 9 against Boston and has two assists in 14 games this season.
The team moved goaltender Ilya Konovalov from the taxi squad to the main roster.
And finally, forward Dylan Holloway has been assigned to the AHL's Bakersfield Condors.
