The Oilers have been without the service of forward Jujhar Khaira and defenceman Darnell Nurse. Khaira is labouring a wrist injury while Nurse is recovering from an ankle injury.
Some good signs are showing for both players.

Nurse is participating in practice and feels his ankle is healing well.
"It's been fun to get back out there with the guys," he said.
"My ankle definitely feels really good. With that said, I still have to get back into game form knowing the time of year it is. It's not like I haven't played all year, I played the beginning of the year and I seem to be reacting really well to all the treatment and stuff. I want to come back and I want to be a difference maker for sure... Just got to make sure I come back and I'm 100 percent."
Khaira's wrist is still bandaged but he was shooting pucks in practice.
"It's definitely a lot better," said Khaira. "Taking it day-by-day right now. There's a significant difference even from last week to this week. Just my confidence in it is a lot better so I'm open to trying more and more stuff every day… I don't want to rush it back and not be able to do my job out there but I've talked to the trainers and we'll see what the plan is."
