It's not even September yet, and Philip Broberg is already making waves in the Swedish Hockey League.
The 18-year-old Oilers prospect opened his pre-season account with an end-to-end rush and finish in a loss to Luleå on Thursday, tallying the only goal for Skellefteå in a 3-1 contest.
The Swedish defenceman committed to playing his 2019-20 season in the SHL with Skellefteå after being drafted in the first round, eighth overall by the Oilers at this year's NHL Draft.
Broberg and Skellefteå begin their competitive fixture run in the Champions Hockey League - another competition featuring Europe's best teams from its top-tier leagues - with two-game series' against Bern and Grenoble before beginning their SHL campaign at home against IK Oskarshamn on September 14.
