EDMONTON, AB - Another game, another milestone for Connor McDavid.

The Oilers Captain secured point No. 500 of his career with an assist on Jesse Puljujarvi's fourth goal of the season against the Winnipeg Jets. With the point coming in his 369th career game, McDavid becomes the eighth-fastest player to reach the 500-point plateau all-time and ties fellow generational talent Sidney Crosby as the fastest active player to reach the mark.

"To see and feel some of the reactions from my teammates, friends and family is always special. I really appreciate the support," McDavid said during his post-game media availability.

McDavid, Crosby and Washington Capitals winger Alex Ovechkin are the only active players to achieve 500 points in less than 400 games. Making the feat even more impressive is that it took McDavid just 64 matches to go from point 400 to 500, averaging 1.56 points per game over that span.

"I'm definitely getting more and more comfortable as the years go by," the 24-year-old added.

"More and more comfortable in my own skin and figuring the game out. Maybe the game is trending more offensively than when I first entered the League. That maybe plays a bit of a role in it."
