Keith Gretzky

EDMONTON, AB - Oilers Assistant General Manager Keith Gretzky addressed the media Monday afternoon on the club's involvement on NHL Trade Deadline Day after the Oilers neglected to make any immediate roster changes.
Gretzky highlighted recent transactions that included the acquisition of forward Sam Gagner and goaltender Anthony Stolarz as moves that were high on the priority list for Oilers management prior to a quiet deadline.
"I look back and two things we wanted to do were add character, we did that with Sam, and we also wanted to get rid of a goaltender's contract and we did that," Gretzky said from the Oilers Hall of Fame room. "We were happy with that and thought anything else would be a bonus."
