The Golden Knights have won six games in a row, the longest streak by an NHL team in its inaugural season, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. They have gotten at least one point in 11 straight (10-0-1) and have not lost in regulation since Dec. 1, 7-4 at the Winnipeg Jets. Malcolm Subban will start in goal for the Golden Knights.
Toronto is 3-1-1 in its past five games. The Maple Leafs played the second game of a back-to-back Friday, a 4-3 overtime loss at the Colorado Avalanche.

Players to watch

Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews has three points (two goals, one assist) in three games since returning to the lineup Dec. 23 after an upper-body injury.
Golden Knights forward David Perron has 21 points in his past 18 games (five goals, 16 assists). He scored in overtime Thursday in a 3-2 win at the Los Angeles Kings.
