Three-straight games against Eastern Conference opponents begins tonight (at 6 p.m. CT) for the Nashville Predators with a stop in Brooklyn.
After a perfect home stand - with wins over Calgary, Arizona and San Jose - the Preds start their season series with the New York Islanders by playing two road games in two nights (also at Boston on Tuesday at 6 p.m.), before hosting the Islanders on April 4. Nashville (38-25-11) did not hold a morning skate on Monday, but did practice in Music City on Sunday before their flight. Mike Fisher, who has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury, returned to the ice for the session, with Colin Wilson and Craig Smith receiving maintenance days. However, Fisher is not on Nashville's road trip and remains day-to-day.
New York (35-17-12) held the final playoff spot in the East until they were beaten in their last game by Boston on Saturday and now sit two points out of the conference's top eight. The Preds and Islanders split their 2015-16 season series, with the home team winning both games.
