Hedman, the 2018 Norris Trophy winner, has missed the past seven games with an upper-body injury. He has four points (two goals, two assists through nine games this season. Center Brayden Point, who took a puck in the face Thursday against the New York Islanders, will also play.
The Lightning have outscored opponents 17-8 during their winning streak and lead the Eastern Conference with 25 points.
Ottawa is 2-5-2 in its past nine games and has allowed at least four games in seven of those nine games.
Andrei Vasilevskiy will be in goal for Tampa Bay. Craig Anderson will start for Ottawa.
