Hughes, a forward, was placed in NHL COVID-19 protocol after his return Sunday from the 2022 Honda NHL All-Star Game in Las Vegas. … McLeod will play for the first time since sustaining an upper-body injury Jan. 25. … Hamilton, a defenseman, did not travel with the Devils on their three-game road trip. He has not been cleared for contact. … Connor Brown, who missed 10 games with a broken jaw, Gambrell, who missed four games with an upper-body injury, and Zaitsev, who missed 13 games with a foot injury, will retuirn for the Senators. … Batherson, a forward, said he could begin skating in the next couple of weeks. … Norris, a forward, still does not have a prognosis for his shoulder injury, Senators coach D.J.
