Status report
Cizikas and Nelson, each a center, participated in the morning skate but will not play. Cizikas had been in COVID-19 protocol since Nov. 27, and Nelson was injured Nov. 21 and was expected to be out 2-4 weeks. "They're days away, I would think," Islanders coach Barry Trotz said.
