Lyon played the final two periods in relief of an injured Michal Neuvirth in a 7-4 win against the New York Rangers on Sunday. Goalie Petr Mrazek, acquired in a trade with the Detroit Red Wings on Monday, will be the backup.
The Flyers, who are 6-0-2 in their past eight games, are tied with the New Jersey Devils for third place in the Metropolitan Division, four points behind the second-place Pittsburgh Penguins.

Status report

Julien said his lineup would be a game-time decision. Jerabek could return after missing seven games. Shaw practiced Monday for the first time since being injured against the Boston Bruins on Jan. 13 but won't play. Forward Nikita Scherbak was sent to Laval of the American Hockey League on Monday. … Simmonds is expected to miss 2-3 weeks, and Neuvirth is expected to be out 4-6 weeks. ... Lindblom was recalled from Lehigh Valley of the AHL on Monday and will make his NHL debut. Mrazek arrived in time for the morning skate and could play against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday.
