Jerabek's strong season with Vityaz attracted interest from NHL teams, and he signed a one-year entry-level contract with the Montreal Canadiens on May 1, 2017. After starting the season with Laval of the American Hockey League, Jerabek was called up by the Canadiens and played his first NHL game on Nov. 22, 2017, against the Nashville Predators. He scored his first NHL goal against the Boston Bruins on Jan. 17, 2018.
After appearing in 25 games with Montreal, he was traded to the Washington Capitals on Feb. 21, 2018. Ironically, he scored his first goal with the Capitals against the Canadiens on March 24, 2018. Jerabek played in two playoff games and had one assist during Washington's run to the Stanley Cup in 2018.
