Goaltender Ryan Miller will start for the Ducks; No. 1 goaltender John Gibson is day to day with a lower-body injury, sustained during the second period of a 2-0 win at the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday.
Anaheim, 5-1-1 in its past seven games, is tied with the Los Angeles Kings for third place in the Pacific Division. The Ducks have allowed two goals or fewer in four consecutive games.
The Stars, 6-2-0 in their past eight games and 12-5-1 in their past 18, are tied with the St. Louis Blues for third place in the Central Division. Dallas has allowed two goals or fewer in 10 of its past 15 games.

Players to watch

Dallas goaltender Ben Bishop will make his fourth consecutive start; he was pulled in two of his past three starts, including when he allowed four goals on five shots in a 5-2 loss at the San Jose Sharks on Sunday.
Ducks forward Nick Ritchie has five points (one goal, four assists) in his past five games. He'll play his fourth NHL game against Dallas forward Brett Ritchie, his younger brother.
