Blue Jackets team scope

Sergei Bobrovsky will be in goal for the Columbus Blue Jackets after missing one game with an illness. Forward Matt Calvert will also be in the lineup after missing the previous game. The Blue Jackets have scored five goals in each of their two wins against the Lightning this season. Following a 16-game winning streak, Columbus has one win in its past four games. Coach John Tortorella will speak in the pre-game ceremony when the Tampa Bay Lightning retire Martin St. Louis' jersey. Tortorella coached the Lightning from 2000-08 and won the 2004 Stanley Cup with the team led by St. Louis. "It's well deserved," Tortorella said. "To where that organization is right now in the present day, it doesn't get there unless you have a guy like Marty St. Louis and the things he did in really developing the foundation." Tortorella said his early years in Tampa compare with his current time in Columbus. "When I started last year (in Columbus) it reminded me of Tampa as we go through this process," Tortorella said. "I make no bones about it. I thought our locker room stunk of entitlement last year in Columbus and I thought the locker room in Tampa stunk of entitlement when we first started. Very similar circumstances and that's why it so much fun for me to have the opportunity to coach Columbus and follow the same blueprint we had [in Tampa]."

Lightning team scope

Andrei Vasilevskiy will be in goal Friday on the second leg of back-to-back games. Goaltender Ben Bishop returned to the lineup on Thursday after missing nine games and made 24 saves in a 4-2 win against the Buffalo Sabres to help Tampa Bay ended a four-game losing streak. "Ben gave us a big boost coming back in the lineup," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said. "It started with him and Brian Boyle returning as well. Both those guys were big parts of our game." Bishop said he is excited to watch St. Louis, his former teammate, have his jersey retired. "Just seeing him before [Thursday] he's still acting like a little kid," Bishop said. "I miss him so much in the locker room. He's such a good guy and such a warrior on the ice. He was the full package and I feel honored to be able to play with him and [Friday] is going to be a special night because he's a special guy." Captain Steven Stamkos will speak in the pre-game ceremony along with former Lightning players Vincent Lecavalier, Fredrik Modin and Dave Andreychuk.

Status report

The Lightning recalled Condra from Syracuse of the American Hockey League in preparation for their upcoming west coast trip. …With Bobrovsky able to play, the Blue Jackets sent goalie Anton Forsberg to Cleveland of the AHL and recalled forward Markus Hannikainen. … Cooper said there is a lot of concern surround Callahan's injury situation. "For him to get in for one or two games and then have to be out and have some lingering effects of some past issues he's had, it's killing him," Cooper said.
